Be sure to allow time for firmware update. | | | | | | Q: Who can perform the installation of the new 4K input/output cards? | Due to the highly specialized nature of DigitalMedia, a DM Certified Engineer (DMC-E-4K) is required to perform the physical installation of input/output cards on any DM chassis. | | | | | | Q: What if my existing devices aren't being upgraded to support 4K? Can I partially upgrade the system? | When mixing 4K and non-4K sources in a system, it's imperative to ensure that the transmitter and input cards or blades to support 4K. It's not necessary to upgrade cards or blades assigned to non-4K sources. Output cards or blades and receivers that carry 4K (including 4K that will be downscaled for an HD display) must be upgraded. If it's necessary to view 4K sources on non-4K displays, a 4K-capable scaler on each non-4K output is required to enable downscaling. If it's not necessary to view on non-4K displays, provisions should be made in the control system programming to prevent routing of 4K sources to non-4K outputs. | | | | | | | Model # | Description | 4K source | ‧ Transmitter ‧ Input card/blade | 4K display | ‧ Receiver ‧ Output card/blade | Support for downscaled 4K content to an HD display | ‧ Output card/blade ‧ Receiver with scaler | | | | | | | Q: How to upgrade output cards ganged with DMC-HDO Type 3, HDMI output cards? | You will need the new DMC-4K-CO-HD (DM 8G+ 4K) output cards and new output plates for DMC-HDO Type 3 output cards. You should use the new plates with the existing DMC-HDO (HDMI) output cards during installation. | | | | | | Firmware and Software Release | | | | | | | | The following Firmware and Software have been released on Crestron Asia website, please login to member area and access the corresponding page. | | | | | | | • | | TPS-6X-DSW/TST-600-DSW v1.0.05.01 | | | | | | | | • | | TSW-552/TSW-752/TSW-1052/TSS-752/TSR-302/TST-602 v1.001.0002.002 | | | | | | | | • | | CLCI-1DIMFLV2EX v1.001.014 | | | | | | | | • | | HR-100/HR-150 v1.000.0067 | | | | | | | | Crestron Asia Ltd.
