When it first launched, WildStar was met with a mix of praise and criticism from press and players alike. Over time, Carbine Studios' game has come under fire for a variety of issues, ranging from low server populations to deferred update schedules. It's quite possible that the phenomenal amount of hype for the game resulted in its initial acclaim, which tends to happen with large scale AAA titles.

Thousands of fans woke up to letdown this week when CD Projekt Red announced that they would once again be delaying The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. MMO fans faced much the same when Zenimax announced that the console versions of The Elder Scrolls Online would be facing a similar delay and not release until sometime in 2015. Even through the haze of disappointment, there's a silver lining here: maybe these games will actually work when they launch.

If you're like me, you might have never heard of this game before, but you're going to be glad you've heard of it now. If you like Voxel Sandbox games, you should definitely check this one out. It might appear to be a typical game in this genre, at least from the outside, but once you step into Oort Online your eyes will be awestruck by the outstanding graphics. Add to it the community driven development and this game definitely has the potential to be a major contender.

ESTSoft has announced that Cabal 2 is ready to rock the world in 2015. In addition to the game's announcement, ESTSoft revealed the Cabal 2 prelaunch site complete with beta sign ups for interested players. By signing up, players will gain access to the Cabal 2 forums and become eligible for the first focus test to take place on December 19th.

Square Enix has confirmed that two of its role-playing classics will be heading to PlayStation 4 in 2015. Both Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X will be released in the Spring. Final Fantasy VII will be priced at $15.99 and the remastered Final Fantasy X will set players back $49.99.

A new developer diary has appeared on the Star Trek Online site that lays out the details about the newly overhauled Q's Winter Wonderland. Rather than use a conventional map style (aka tower defense, etc.), the team opted to open up the gameplay experience in several key ways to enhance players' fun during the annual event.

Age of Conan players ready to start a new toon but less than thrilled about leveling it up can now purchase an instant boost to 80 from the in-game shop. The boost will set players back $40 unless a level 80 character already exists on the account, in which case the cost is reduced to $30.
