Ubisoft's The Crew was always going to either be A.) a resounding dud or B.) a pleasantly fun racing experience. And depending upon who you ask, I'm pretty sure that's the range of answers you'll get. The Crew's worth picking up if you're fan of arcade racers and love open and online worlds. It's no secret that studios tend to use writers as a sort of advertising. It's nothing malicious, just a subtle focus on the new stuff they would like to get promoted. The relationship is certainly symbiotic because where they get to manage the publicity of their games to some degree, we get to see things a little earlier than most, which allows us to produce articles while the information is relevant.

The first time I logged into Trove I didn't get it. After getting through character creation I quickly found myself going into a lowbie area meant for levels 1-3. As soon as I got there I was lost. There were no instructions, people were scattered all over the map and I had no idea where to start. I ran around the map for a few hours trying to work out what to and mining anything that looked interesting that was in my path. Needless to say I didn't accomplish much that first time.

The WildStar team has posted good news for endgame fans with the arrival of a 20-player Datascape on the public test realm. While few details are available, the post invites players to come and help test out this early version of the Datascape and promises fans that more information will be forthcoming soon.

Gauntlet fans now have the opportunity to have a powerful new heroine to play with the arrival of the game's first DLC. Lilith the Necromancer can be purchased for $4.99. All players will receive The Gauntlet Colosseum for free as part of today's update.

Obsidian Entertainment is celebrating over a half-million registrations for Armored Warfare's closed beta. In honor of the announcement, Obsidian has released a brand new trailer. Check it out!

ArcheAge players have a lot to look forward to with the December update as the Red Dragons will be making a return to Erenor. The ArcheAge site has a short lore perspective on the dragons' return that is sure to pique interest in the next update.

A new blog post has appeared on the Guild Wars 2 site that reveals the brand new Daily Achievement tracker that has arrived with the Wintersday update. Dailies are now divided into PvE, PvP and WvW tabs and, most notably, rewards will be 'thematically tied' to the type of daily that is completed. In addition, a new 'log in rewards' program has started that combines rewards from daily and monthly achievements along with some brand new things to give players incentive to log in every day.

Thanks to the addition of the new "Legends PVE" game mode, DC Universe Online's users can now play as one of several iconic characters in several of the game's group instances. Prior to this time, players could only take on the persona of these characters during Legends PvP.

Players in The Settlers Online have a new round of festive holiday events in which to participate thanks to the most recent update. Players can get into the holiday spirit by decorating their islands and even stepping into Santa's shoes in a winter wonderland.
