[KontentMachine] So What Is Quality Content?

"Content is King"...

This phrase has been blown out of proportions for the last several years.

Of course that "content is king" because that's the thing which the users actually read and which converts them into customers.

What so many people FAIL to understand (and you can see it on all SEO forums, a spreading paranoia) is that there are two types of content when it comes to SEO:

    - the content ON YOUR WEBSITE

    - the content OFF YOUR WEBSITE (understand -> backlinks)

Let me tell you what QUALITY content is for me. I suggest you adopt the same philosophy and NEVER read those forum threads.

"QUALITY content is the type of content which CONVERTS."

What I mean by "converts" is that it successfully serves a certain purpose - makes users opt-in, buy, fill a survey, click a link, whatever...

If, using your content, you can make people do what you want them to do then, my friend, you are writing PRETTY DAMN GOOD QUALITY CONTENT.

It has NOTHING to do with Google and search engines. It has EVERYTHING to do with human psychology.

How does Google evaluate high-quality vs low-quality content? What do you think?

IT DOESN'T!

Google is a giant piece of software. Let me tell you this:

Google CAN:
    - See how many words you have in your article
    - See all your typos
    - See if your content is grammatically correct
    - See what it is about by scanning the words and finding synonyms
    - See if it is over-optimized
    - See if it is copied from somewhere else

Google CAN'T:
    - Understand if what you write is interesting
    - Understand if it is engaging
    - Understand if people like it (unless it checks the social shares but that's easily manipulated)

That's it. Stop thinking that Google is some kind of a magician who stays behind you while you put the articles on your blog and thinks "Hmm, that's not interesting, I'm not going to put it on page #1".

Let's put it this way...

All the content you put on your website is FOR THE VISITORS and it should serve a certain purpose.

So what about your backlinks? Should you use quality content for them too?

Yes and No

I will tell you EXACTLY what I mean next time. You need to take some time and understand what you learned today.

It's a simple and extremely POWERFUL concept.

P.S.
In fact, copywriting is one of the core skills of successful internet marketers. Since we are talking about SEO only here I will not go into that.

If you want to learn more about non-SEO online business stuff I highly recommend that you start by reading the DigitalMarketer blog and learn more about PPC, conversion, sales funnels etc.
