Hey, what's up?If you haven't noticed, you are going through a complete SEO course right now.I'll try and cover more onsite *stuff* here so let's get to it. 1. Social SharingAlthough that is not a big ranking signal (if any!) it's a good idea to put some "like", "share" and "pin" buttons on your website. The whole internet is moving towards social so...Since I'm using Wordpress (hint ;) ) I install Digg Digg on all of my websites.
2. SitemapsThis is an important one. They basically tell the search engines how they should crawl your website.I personally use the free version of this plugin.Make sure you add your sitemaps to Google's Webmasters Tools after you create them. 3. Image ALT tagsYou know, that's this piece of code right here:<img src="http://www.example.com/example.png" alt="Keyword">Try not to use your main keyword more than once there. 4. InterlinkingThis is a really important one. Make sure on EVERY post/page there are links that can take the user back to the home page or see all posts from a category. Also put links to other posts from the same website.Google loves that. 5. Authorship... forget it, Google dropped it completely. To be honest, I've never seen any proof that it affects rankings whatsoever.Wow, this email was a long one. I need my coffee number 4 for today.Bye for now! Georgi "Addicted to Caffeine" Georgiev | |
