Four months after its original release and on very short notice, Bioware is providing us today the first DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition. In fact, the lack of any announcement beforehand is almost as surprising as the rather steep price of 15 Dollars, which makes it the most expensive story DLC in the Dragon Age franchise.

This new iteration – Archlord 2 -- is set in the same setting as the previous version but in an alternate universe, sort of. I wouldn't worry so much about it because all of the lore and imagery of the game is really just a wrap around a series of button-pushing mechanics that only become half-fun once the player has spent hours and hours grinding bad, level-based quest after another (trust me, you won't even look at what the quests say, they are that repetitive.)

When a new MMO launches, sometimes it seems like the "new player experience" wasn't very high on the priority list for some developers. Which, in the grand scheme of things, makes sense to a certain degree. While every player starts at the bottom and has to go through the new player experience at least once, the reality is that the vast majority of gameplay takes place once a character has reached max-level, otherwise known as the "end game."

Zenimax Online Studios seems to have adopted a unique way to release content, a way that has some of the community upset and calling the content "unfinished". Is it really unfinished content or is Zenimax releasing their content in a way that will keep players interested and engaged?

The latest Shards Online newsletter has been published. In it, the team asks all current testers to check the dashboard to find out more about the "break our shard" event. The dev team is looking to cram as many players as possible onto a single shard to stress test the system.

The Gloria Victus team has let us know that the non-disclosure agreement for the game has officially lifted. Testers and streamers can now post their thoughts about the game that the developers say is stable enough to warrant firsthand accounts being published. The hope is that by lifting the NDA, the game will attract more players and that the development team can expand.

Now that Steven Spielberg has been announced as the director for "Ready Player One", is he the right man for the job?? Personally, I am going to go with a big resounding YES. I know a lot of people talk about how he hasn't had very many great movies these days. If you think about the era of video games and pop culture that the book is about, Steven Spielberg is one of only a few people at the forefront of entertainment during that era.

ESTSoft has announced that players interested in working with the development team for Cabal 2 can head to the official site to sign up for closed beta testing. The closed beta is expected to begin towards the end of April.

Blizzard and ESPN have partnered up to bring the Heroes of the Storm college championships to viewers around the world. Called "Heroes of the Dorm", the tournament will be held in Los Angeles at the end of April.

Calling the new update a "hugely upgraded gameplay experience", the Orcs Must Die! Unchained team has let us know that beta phase two is ready to begin. The update includes some significant changes, additions and more that should bring a whole new game to testers.

The second beta event for Skyforge has begun as of today, Wednesday, March 25th. There was no server wipe thus allowing players in the first event to continue their character's progress. In addition, four new classes have been announced as becoming available during this beta cycle, though it was confirmed that several players unlocked them in the first event.

Those who have been curious about Hi-Rez Studios' SMITE will want to check in this weekend when all gods are free in celebration of the game's first anniversary. The free weekend will run both Saturday and Sunday. In addition, there's a massive sale on skins, gems and the Ultimate God Pack that includes all current and future additions to the pantheon.

After a successful Greenlight campaign, top-down post-apocalyptic MMO, Immune, has officially launched on on Steam. The game features both PvE and PvP encounters with players battling for survival in a world gone mad.

The Final Fantasy XIV site has been updated with new information about "Before the Fall Part 2", the next content update scheduled for March 31st. In the main story arc, players will be called to defend the Gates of Judgement that guard the entrance to Ishgard. The city's future rises or falls on the tide of war.

Testing out the new update site, CCP has revealed that the EVE Online Scylla update is now live. The update site is a newly revealed subsite of the main EVE site that is a clearinghouse for all past and future patches to the game.

As Crowfall's Kickstarter enters it's final 24 hours, the developers at ArtCraft Entertainment will be joining the Gold and Glory Podcast to discuss Crowfall's latest developments, offering further insights into their vision for the upcoming sandbox MMORPG. Featured on the cast will be ArtCraft's Gordon Walton, J. Todd Coleman, Thomas Blair and Tully Ackland.
